NCC FIRST YEAR CADETS INAUGURATION:
The NCC first year cadets were enrolled by PI STAFFSof the unit.By checking with physical and medical fitness during the selection.27 new cadets were enrolled. A function was conducted to invite them in the college on 22-08-2011.The basic of Army, NCC were shown to the cadets as a A.V clip.
INDEPENDENCE DAY:
The 66th INDEPENDENCE DAY was celebrated on 15.08.2012 in our college.The Independence day celebration was organized and conducted by National Cadet Corps. The celebration consisted of 100cadets and 250 staffs and students. A Drill demo was performed by the NCC cadets and the best cadets were honored during the function.
CATC:
The Combined Annual Training Camp was conducted in St.Pauls Hr.Sec.School , Salem from 26.09.2012 to 5.10.2012.24 cadets from our college participated in this camp. In this camp the cadets were given training about firing, weapon training, map reading, field craft and signals
NCC DAY CELEBRATION:
The 65th “NCC DAY CELEBRATION” was done in our college on 24-11-2012. 110 cadets participated in this celebration. The function was totally organized and conducted by NATIONAL CADET CORPS only to the NCC cadets. The chief guest of this function was the PRINCIPAL. The best cadets were honored and prizes were distributed.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP:
National Cadet Corps (NCC), Tamil Nadu Directorate and 1/12 TN BN NCC, Government Arts College (Autonomous), Salem – 636 007 has organized a program on “NCC Day Celebrations 2012 – Blood Donation Camp” for the NCC cadets of Government Arts College (Autonomous), Salem – 636 007 during on 26th November 2012 at Mohan Kumaramangalam Government Hospital, Salem. The inauguration for this program was commenced in Government Arts College (Autonomous), Salem.
ATC:
The Annual Training Camp was conducted in AVS Arts and science college Salem from 22.12.2012 to 31.12.2012.25 cadets attended this camp from our college. In this camp the cadets were given training about firing, weapon training, map reading, field craft and signals.
REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION
The 63th Republic day celebrations was celebrated in our college on 26.01.2013.The Function was organized and conducted by the National cadet corps. Competitions like essay, drawing and speech were conducted to the college students about National leaders,National integration and winners were given prizes.
B certificate exam
The first year cadets appeared for their B certificate exam. The B certificate exam was conducted in Vinayaga mission engineering college ,Salem on 23.2.2013-24.2.2013. 52 cadets appeared for this exam
C Certificate Exam
The Second year NCC cadets appeared for the C certificate exam. The C certificate exam was conducted in Vinayaga mission engineering college, Salem on 6.03.2013 to 7.03.2013. 30 cadets appeared and all of them passed in the C certificate exam.
Apart from these events 40 parades are conducted throughout the year. Cadets were given training by the PI staff in the parade session. Refreshments were given to the cadets after the parade session.
